Every so often, we get to blog about a wedding that was close to our heart. When our baby sister got engaged, it was a given that we’d be there, camera in hand, for the big day. So when last Saturday finally rolled around, it truly was the best day ever. Mary and Trisdon, high school sweethearts, tied the knot at Waimea’s Sacred Hearts Church, followed by a gorgeous reception at the Kekaha Harbor House. With Addy as Maid of Honor, and Julian as videographer extraordinnaire, the day was truly a labor of love. And of course this wedding was so extra special to us because of all of the family and friends who helped; and all of the very special personal touches—like the pink bow ties sewed by the bride’s mother, the adorable flower girls in their princess dresses, and the hand-painted wood signs by the bride’s sister and dad. We couldn’t be more grateful to amazing photographer and friend, Christie Pham and Matt who we had the pleasure of hanging out with on this special day. We are still reeling from an amazingly awesome weekend of celebration but we are so excited to share with you a mini-highlight of this very special day. Mary and Tris, we love you and we’re so happy that you have this video so we can all relive the beauty of your day over and over again! We can’t stop watching it!! Salud!
With all of the craziness of unpacking and settling in here at our new headquarters, we were anxious to start the cameras rolling again here on Kauai. And if you know anything about the Garden Isle, everyone knows everyone here in this happy place! This pair of lovebirds is classmates with my sister so we were super excited to film their big day a couple of weekends ago. Gail and Jay are the sweetest, and they tied the knot at Iglesia Ni Cristo Church in Kalaheo. Then it was off to the Kauai Harbor House to party the night away. We were ecstatic to get to show their same-day edit at the party. What an awesome way to kick off our move! Big congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs.!!
Being born and raised on Kauai, I always get excited when we get asked to film there. And doubly so when it is for an amazing couple. Jen and I went to the same grade school and high school, so when she contacted us saying that she and Mark were getting hitched, we were simply delighted to be there to film the big day. Last Saturday started with an early trip out to Kauai Marriott for bride and groom prep with the girls from Studio 203. Right away we knew it would be a good time, with a bridal party of 24! Then it was off to St. Theresa’s Catholic Church on the sunny westside of Kauai for a heartfelt ceremony. We love Mark’s reaction as he saw the beautiful Jen come down the aisle for the first time. The couple exchanged vows in front of a packed church of family and friends, then headed back to the Marriott for a fun-filled night. It was so great to work alongside Kilohana Photography to capture this sweet pair. We couldn’t be happier about being a part of this beautiful celebration for such a gorgeous and sweet couple. Eleven years in the making, and headed to a lifetime of wedded bliss! Lots of love to the newlyweds!!
